Working Principle :

A magnetic coupling consists of two magnet assemblies. First is the outer assembly ( the drive magnet ) and the other is the inner assembly ( the driven magnet ). The internal magnets are completely encapsulated, no contact to the liquid. The outer assembly is connected to the motor and the inner assembly is directly attached to a pump impeller. Energy is transmitted to the hermetically sealed liquid end by a bank of external magnets passing motive force through the sealing to a bank of internal magnets. Inner and outer magnet rings are locked together by magnetic power and are working as a synchronous coupling. The magnetic drives are designed for electric motors, direct on line starting. When the Electrical Motor is energized, the inner magnet ring transmits the required torque direct to the impeller. This permanent magnet coupling creates neither slippage nor induction current during rotation. Overload of the magnetic coupling and slipping will not affect demagnetization. There is no energy loss in this permanent magnet coupling.
